Our Staff
We have 13 foresters on our staff with combined experience of
nearly 200 years. No other firm can come close to this level
of expertise. With such a large source of knowledge you can be
assured that we are prepared to face most any forestry related
challenge. Unlike other firms, we encourage our foresters to own
their own woodlands. Gutchess foresters know what it is like
to be a forest owner. We have cared for and sustainably
managed hundreds of thousands of acres for forest owners during
the past 100 years. And we stand ready to provide the same quality service to
you.
Our Timberlands
We are committed to
timberland sustainability. We own tens of thousands of acres of
timberland throughout New York and Pennsylvania. Using the latest
science based technologies, as well as time-tested methods of land care,
we are able to successfully preserve the biological integrity of our
timberlands. While under our care, our forests have been harvested many
times yet still maintain the original clean water, flora, fauna and view
sheds we love and cherish. We are proud of our accomplishments and look
forward to the challenges of continued forest stewardship. We can

Stewardship and
forest management plans We can provide general assistance in meeting your goals and
objectives for forest ownership. This would include, but is not
limited to, a scientific based approach to the management of
your water, wildlife and wood. Our Harvesters are trained in stewardship and the use of best
management practices, and attend the New York Logger Training
Program and the Sustainable Forestry Logger Training to ensure
environmentally
sound methods.
