Where it Grows

Our white ash trees grow in professionally managed, environmentally sustainable forests in the chilly northern Appalachian areas of New York, Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. This region is famous for growing Fraxinus americana trees with outstandingly white colors.

Our modern manufacturing facilities are conveniently located near our White Ash
timberlands, interstate superhighways, rail networks and some of the busiest seaports in
the world—all of which allow us to offer our premium products at competitive prices
(see Species Map).

Relative Working & Physical Properties

White Ash has very good overall strength properties relative to its weight. It has excellent shock resistance and is good for steam bending. It machines well, is good for nailing, screwing and gluing and can be stained and polished to a very good finish. It dries relatively easily and exhibits little shrinkage.
